Hi! I’m Don, the alleged author of this alleged blog. I’m a single dad with two kids, one out of school, and one still in school. For over 20 years, I was in broadcast radio as both management and air talent (which sounds much more professional than “disk jockey”, doesn’t it?). These days, I’m working in retail to pay the bills while I attend college to earn an IT degree.
Many people give the advice to stick with one topic if you want your blog to be noticed. That won’t be the case here, since I tend to write about what may interest me at that particular moment. That could be radio and the mess it’s in these days, songs I like, odd things I’ve noticed, or stories about small town life. When you get down to it, it’s about one person’s life. Since the only person I know well enough in that sense is me, it’s about my life.
You’ll also find columns/posts/whatever you want to call them from “Hello, Is This Thing On?”, my writing gig on EastlandSpin.com. This blog, in fact, started as a simple archive for those stories.
